nStyler 3.0 FAQ
About nStyler 3.0
Q1:What's nStyler 3.0?
nStyler 3.0 is an interactive real-time visualization program with an individual rendering engine that performs high-quality renditions. Features real-time rendering raytracing and renders large-scale assembly data developed by 3D digital design and engineering software including Rhinoceros, thinkdesign, Solidworks and others(optional). It also supports general file formats such as, obj, VRML, FBX and others.
Q2:What is the difference between nStyler and the other rendering applications?
With the traditional still image rendering application, you cannot check a material's final image assigned to the model until the rendering is done.
Since with nStyler you can check the image while you are modeling, you can focus on modeling and create design simulations anytime.
To get high quality results with still image rendering, you need skill, experience and usually the photo-realistic image requires a long rendering time. With nStyler, anyone can get high quality rendering results quickly.
Q3:What is the difference between nStyler and Hayabusa?
nStyler 3.0 is a general purpose renderer and reads multiple polygon data format like, OBJ, VRML, FBX, 3ds, and STL directly and also supply exporters to nStyler 3.0 for Rhino, Solidworks, and other CAD formats. Hayabusa 2.0 is launched from Rhino and then imports Rhino geometry however if you import polygons or other CAD geometry into Rhino, you can export to Hayabusa 2.0. nStyler also have "Web 3D" exporter and the feature of "Depth of Fields", see detail "Features" of nStyler and Features matrix.
Q4:Is there an evaluation version?
Yes, we have an evaluation version of nStyler. Without licensing, you can use all the functions with the evaluation version. But the evaluation version shows the "GRAPS" watermark on the screen and you cannot save the data. Click here to download the Tutorial and Sample. You can use them with the evaluation version too.
Q5:Do I need any extra hardware to use nStyler?
nStyler has a Standard mode which uses the CPU. But if you want a realtime ray trace effect, a good graphic card is needed. Please refer to the list of system requirements and supported graphic cards.
Q6:Does nStyler work on Mac?
nStyler can work on a Mac which uses a NVIDIA graphic card. However we do not recommend using nStyler on a Mac or guarantee that nStyler will work properly on a Mac.
